Teeth Whitening Techniques for a Brighter Smile

Many people struggle with having stains on their teeth. What goes into our mouth is the primary culprit of this undesired discoloration — drinking beverages such as coffee, red wine and cola, which are all highly pigmented, and smoking tobacco have been found to cause staining.

If this is something you have been concerned about in the past, it is likely that you already have or have had a whitening toothpaste in your oral care regimen. While that will provide some results, there is more you can do to whiten your teeth! Whether you’re on a budget or willing to do everything you can to get whiter teeth, we have an option for you.

Zoom! Teeth Whitening uses a teeth whitening gel designed to break down surface stains on your teeth. Using preset trays, you apply the gel to your teeth and wear the tray for 45-60 minutes. After seven treatments, your teeth with be noticeably whiter. With this method, you receive extra sets so you can touch up as needed.

The Whitening for Life program is a step above the Zoom treatments, offering custom-fitted trays that we make for you in-office and gel treatments to apply at home. With this method, you’ll receive a tube of whitening gel every six months when you visit us for your semi-annual cleaning. This way, you’ll be able to achieve and maintain healthy, bright white teeth for years to come.

If you want quick and effective results, the Zoom! Whitening treatment may be the best route for you to go. This procedure involved two hours in our office, where we cover your lips and gums to fully expose your teeth, then we apply the whitening gel. From there, we set the Zoom lamp up to target your teeth, and that in conjunction with the whitening gel break up stains and remove discoloration. You’ll leave the office with clearly whiter teeth.
