Your Morning Routine: Brush and Floss to Start the Day Right

The importance of taking care of your teeth and gums is well-known. It is said that a healthy mouth means a healthy body, so taking care of your teeth and gums properly each day is vital.

But why is it so important to brush your teeth in the morning specifically? When you are asleep at night, bacteria and acid build up in your mouth and can negatively impact your teeth, causing cavities, dental erosion and gum irritation. If you consistently skip oral care in the morning, these issues can intensify and become much more serious problems that you’ll have to address with your dentist.

That being said, it pays to be proactive with your dental care! Each morning, be sure to:

  • Brush your teeth for two full minutes
  • Floss between all of your teeth
  • Rinse your mouth with mouthwash

By implementing good oral care into your everyday morning routine, you’ll start each day feeling accomplished and ready to take on anything that the day will send your way. Not to mention, you won’t have to worry about bad breath or having anything stuck in your teeth!
